Raw Honey - One source oilseed rape

from £7.00
Sold Out

1lb jar of pure raw Devon coarse filtered honey

One source Oilseed Rape honey.

This is a milder tasting honey compared to our usual multi floral honey.

Add a honey dipper for £5.00 - hand turned here in Devon using local beech. Each dipper is unique, and will be selected as a lucky dip from our honey dipper stock, but please be assured, they are beautiful & really compliment our honey.

The set honey comes from the bees living at the base of the Blackdown Hills AONB on the Eastern side overlooking Wellington in Somerset. Early in the year they would have been gathering pollen and nectar from the blackcurrant fields and the rapeseed crops. The rapeseed causes the honey to set and produce the creamy colour. It sets in a soft, granulated texture, that actually feels quite smooth. If you have never tasted rapeseed honey, then this is a real treat - not to be mistaken for bland creamed honey so often seen and sold as a creamed honey - yes rapeseed honey is creamy, but creamed by nature and not a mechanical process in sight.
