Hand dipped Beeswax candles | Dinner Tapers

from £10.00

12" Candle lasts approx ~12hrs

30x2cm

10” Candle lasts approx ~10hrs

25.5x2cm

8” Candle lasts approx ~8hrs

23x2cm

You will receive two candles joined by their wick, one pair.

These candles fit in most standard candle holders.

Our beeswax candles are hand dipped using an age old technique as old as candles themselves. The process starts with a hot vat of beeswax and a length of cotton eco wick.

The wick is introduced to the hot wax by dipping. The wick is held in the centre, meaning that each end of the wick is dipped, starting to form what will be a pair of hand dipped candles.

The first dip is important as it is the longest dip in terms of time, as the air in the wick needs to be removed to ensure an even burn. The following dips allow the wax to layer, and after approximately 30 dips the taper candle has reached a width at the base of approximately 3/4"

Because each candle is a truly handmade product, there may be slight variations. I try very hard to produce a perfect size, matching the listing, but please understand that the sign of a hand made product is the perfectly imperfect.

The beauty of beeswax candles are their ability to burn at a higher temperature than other wax candles, the flame producing an amazing light, reminiscent of the suns glow.

The candles also are also non-toxic, producing little or no smoke (please keep the wick trimmed) and can be used by those who have allergies or asthma.

All of our pure beeswax candles offer you the following properties:-

• long burn time

• amazing aroma

• bright attractive flame

• no soot or carbon pollution

Tips for using your candles.

• Remove all wrapping and packaging from your candle before lighting

• Ensure your candle is safely anchored and away from flammable objects before lighting.

• Keep your wick to no longer than 5mm

• Do not use hurricane lamps or lanterns for your candles, beeswax burns far hotter than many candle waxes and reduces oxygen flow which may cause the wick to smoke the glass and cause the wax to spill over the side of the candle and cause uneven burning.

• Never leave a burning candle unattended

• Please enjoy using my candles produced with love and care, from bee to me to you
